June 22, 2017 – Keel Point, LLC is pleased to announce that it has been named to the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers (RIAs), as of June 22, 2017. The list recognizes top independent RIA firms from across the U.S.

Founded in 2003, Keel Point is a nationally recognized, independent investment advisory firm with over $1.7 billion assets under management. Keel Point believes in aiding its families to “invest in their purpose” and has a mission to help families of ample means achieve meaningful ends by expanding the possibilities and responsibilities of their wealth. In addition to its primary focus of serving affluent and mass affluent clients, Keel Point is also able to work with ultra-high net worth families through its multi-family office division, Keel Point Horizon. Keel Point is based in Huntsville, Alabama with offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Vienna, Virginia; Leawood Kansas; Brentwood Tennessee; and Purcellville, Virginia.

“It is an honor to be named to the 2017 Financial Times 300 Top Registered Advisers list once again,” said Robert Mayes, CEO of Keel Point. “We would like to share this achievement with our staff and families who entrust us to help them achieve their mission, vision, values and goals.”

This is the fourth annual FT 300 list, produced independently by the Financial Times Ltd. in collaboration with Ignites Research, a subsidiary of the FT that provides business intelligence on the investment management industry. More than 2,000 RIA firms were invited to apply for consideration, based on their assets under management (AUM). The 725 RIA firms that applied were then graded based on six criteria: AUM; AUM growth rate; years in existence; advanced industry credentials; online accessibility; and compliance records. Neither RIA firms nor their employees pay a fee to the Financial Times in exchange for inclusion in the FT 300.

The “average” FT 300 firm has been in existence for 24 years and manages $2.7 billion in assets. The 300 top RIAs hail from 37 states and Washington, D.C.

The FT 300 is one in a series of rankings of top advisers that the FT developed in partnership with Ignites Research: the FT 401 (DC retirement plan advisers); the FT 400 (financial advisers from traditional broker-dealer firms); and the FT 100 (women financial advisers).

In addition to the current FT 300 list, Keel Point was also named in the FT 300 in 2015.
